Panthers sign forward Jihwan Kim

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that the team has signed forward Jihwan Kim.

Kim, 19, joins the Panthers after playing 17 games with the Delta Ice Hawks in 2019-20. With the Ice Hawks, he recorded six goals and six assists. 

As a rookie in 2018-19, the Port Coquitlam resident put up seven goals and 13 assists in 32 games for Delta. Kim was clutch for the Ice Hawks in the 2019 PJHL playoffs with seven goals and two assists in a dozen games. Three of Kim's goals came on the power play and two were game winners.

He spent the 2017-18 season with the Vancouver NE Chiefs U18 AAA and scored 25 points in 36 games.

After signing goaltender Mac Roman earlier this month, Kim is the second incoming player to join the Panthers for the 2020-21 Pacific Junior Hockey League season.
