The 6-foot-1 native of New Westminster, BC played five games in Port Moody to start the 2019-20 season before joining the Americans full time in January 2020. Dunsford's goals-against-average of 3.77 was the best among all goaltenders who played for the Panthers that season.

During the 2020-21 WHL season, Dunsford went 0-5 with a 5.30 goals-against-average and an .857 save percentage in seven appearances with the Americans.
