First day of Plummer league play a great sucesss!

An undermanned Nepean faced off against a horde of Earl of March players resplendent in their specially bought uniforms. EOM jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first quarter. Nepean started to find its grove in the second quarter and both teams put up a clean sheet to finish the half. Nepean continued to come on and found the back of the goal in the 3rd quarter on a broken down short corner. From there play was back and forth and despite a late push by Nepean, Earl hung on for the win.

Next up saw Nepean with some reinforcements taking on SRB. Nepean pressured SRB in the first quarter but a stalwart SRB defence anchored by Randall pushed back. Teams exchanged goals over the next 2 quarters with shootout star Olivia T scoring for SRB and budding superstar Maddy Z scoring for Nepean.

It looked like it might be going to a draw when a loose ball following an SRB short corner was corralled by Sophie R who then preceded to flick a backhand through a crowd to the top left corner of the net! A spectacular goal. Nepean pushed back with some great midfield play and had a late goal called back on review. SRB closed out the win to start the season.
