The second game of day two saw the VIJHL get on the board with a win by scoring two goals in each period to shut down a lively Creston crowd and defeat the Creston Valley ThunderCats 6-2.

Aaron Brewer started things off late in the first period with his first goal for the Storm.Carter Hikichi would also tally for Campbell River, this time on the powerplay with only 22 seconds left in the period.

The Cats changed goaltenders to start the second period, putting Brock Lefebvre in between the pipes, ending Patrick Ostermann's night.

Carter Hikichi made it 3-0 Storm with a five-on-three goal which turned out to be the game winner, and Dylan McCann added his first of the tournament with just over four minutes remianing in the middle frame.

The ThunderCats managed to find some life as time winded down. This time it was the Cats with a powerplay goal in the final minute of a period. Thomas Cankovic on the doorstep got Creston on the board heading into the intermission.

Liam Plunkett scored Creston's third short handed goal in two games, converting on a two-on-one, making the score 4-2.

It wouldn't be enough as the Storm would add two more off the stick of Colin Blake (PP) and Aaron Brewer (EN) to secure the victory.
