Week 2: Swarm Stung by TidalWave Surge in second game of night

he second match of the evening saw Swarm take on TidalWave in a spirited clash under cool skies—and unfortunately, heavy mosquito presence (though not the bee-kind Swarm might prefer). Both teams came out buzzing with intensity, trading possession and scoring chances in a fast-paced opening.

Early on, Emma A nearly converted for Swarm after receiving a promising pass into the D, but her connection with Zoë just missed the mark in front of goal. Laeti followed up with a strong play, threading a pass to Maddy Z in front of the net, only to see the shot denied by a sharp TidalWave goalie.

TidalWave broke the deadlock when Grace capitalized on a short corner, finishing on her second attempt after her initial shot was blocked by Sara T charging out. Shortly after, Nikhil dazzled with slick stick skills, creating a prime chance in the D that was turned away by Swarm’s goalkeeper, Sarah D.

Persistent pressure from TidalWave paid off again when Keemya found the back of the net after Swarm’s defense, led by Sara T, had valiantly turned away multiple attacking waves.
