Austin committed to play Division III at Saint Mary’s University, but injuries prevented him from continuing his playing career. Austin has coached in a number of hockey schools and head coach . Austin will have numerous responsibilities including video and running the forward lines throughout the games.
John is a native of Spokane, WA. He had a playing career that began in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and then moved to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. He wrapped up his playing career with the Eagles where he played alongside current head coach Jason Greenwell. He was part of the Eagles team that placed third in Nationals while playing in the ACHA Divisiion 2 program. After his time with the Eagles John was named to the Eastern Washington University Men's BCIHL all decade team and went on to graduate with a master's certificate in substance abuse. This will be John's first year in a coaching role but he brings knowledge and passion to the program that will be an exciting part of the program for years to come.

Professional Background/Areas of Interest
Babcock joined the Eastern Washington University faculty in the fall of 1998 as the Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) director. He, with the help and support of the faculty and staff of the ATEP, was able to move the program to become accredited by the commission on accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs in October of 2002.
Babcock currently serves as the Research, Foundations and Grants Committee representative for the Washington State Athletic Trainers Association and on the Critical Issues Committee for the Adapted Physical Activity Council of the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. His research interests are in the area of injury statistics in disability sport and performance enhancements in special populations. He served as a volunteer athletic trainer for the 1996 Paralympics Games in Atlanta, Ga.
