The Adelaide Adrenaline, proudly presented by Hards Transport, are pleased to announce the James Keane has rejoined the team after a three year hiatus from the Australian Ice Hockey League. Keane brings a wealth of experience to the Adrenaline. From 2003 to 2014 Keane played 203 AIHL games for the Adrenaline and Avalanche. He totalled 144 points in his 11 season career. His best season came in 2011 when he had 12 goals and eight assists in 17 games for a total of 20 points.
Keane trained with the Adrenaline most of the off-season and has attended trainings regularly. In six games with the Adelaide Tigers in the premier league he has seven goals and 12 points.
"James is a very experienced player who has won a Goodall Cup. His experience and knack for the net will add some much needed depth to this team," says head coach Sami Mantere.
He will likely slot in on the second or third line and try to provide some secondary scoring for the team.
Keane's experience extends internationally. He represented Australia twice at the Division 2 World Championships in 2006 and 2007. He was a point-per-game player with the Adrenaline when they won their last championship in 2009. |
