After splitting points against the Ice and Thunder at home last weekend, The Sydney Ice Dogs are set to take on the Newcastle Northstars twice - Friday night at Macquarie Ice Rink and Sunday night at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium. The Ice Dogs are looking to move back up on top of the standings and take home all six points on offer.
ICE DOGS VS. NORTHSTARS All time: 21-36-6-2 (At home: 11-19-1-0 on the road: 8-17-5-2) This weekend will be the final two meetings between the teams in the regular season. The Ice Dogs and Northstars first met this season in the Macquarie Ice Rink home opener on the 21st of April, with Sydney taking down Newcastle in an epic shootout win by a score of 4-3. The Northstars most recently took home a 3-2 win over the Melbourne Ice and sit in 4th on the leaderboard with 22 points in 14 games.
