Two long time foes sit on top
- Submitted by

After this weeks action, we now have a tie atop of the WISA standings after the Hooters and Reds won their games by convincing fashion. Interesting fact to note between 2012-2015 when the Reds switched the team name to Big Red their record was 22-22. When they called themselves just the Reds from 2011-2014 they were 36-21.Only fitting they go back to that name and start the season 3-1.

In the first game saw the Hooters come on strong and Ken"Knuckler"Watson didn't have the dancer like he usually does. Dave"Ballerina" Ouellette started it off with a single with JR to follow. He hit one right back up the middle where Ken had no chance to move out of the way and took the screaming shot off the pitching hand. Not knowing if Ken had a hand to pitch with, shrugged it off and continued like nothing had happened. Following that the Hooters had 3 consecutive hits and now up by 3. The Hooters would go up 13 by the top of the 5th and could not recover. The last 3 innings had the Blacksox score 5 runs in the remaining 3 innings. Blacksox continue to get production from the "Barber going 3/3 and has been a hitting machine this season.

The nightcap saw the Brewzers come down from the last week sweep of the Padres to run into a hot pitcher in John"Big Lefty"Spiegel allowing 6 runs on 9 hits. Once again Drew"Moon shot"Glowacki doing it again over the left field fence with a 3 run homer. On the other side Mr. Mark"Iron man" Malone went 3/3 and now sits in top 5 in batting. All of his hits have been singles and we are waiting for him to hit his first homerun of the season as he said he could playing in the friendly confines of Spring Garden Park.
