Generals at home tonight against Copperheads

Ethan Matiece and the rest of the Gens are kicking off a two-game homestand tonight against the Coaldale Copperheads, who are known for their physical play. The puck drops at 8 in the SLS Centre.

The Cochrane Generals will be looking to gain a little separation from the Coaldale Copperheads in the HJHL south division standings tonight (Nov. 29) at the SLS Centre.

The physical Copperheads are in town for the first of a two-game homestand by the Gens.

In their first two meetings, the teams have sawed off wins with home ice being the advantage so far.

Cochrane is one point ahead of Coaldale and has two games in hand.

Game time is 8 p.m. in Totem One.

Saturday night, the Gens will be attempting to stop Kyle Woolridge, the league's top scorer, and the rest of the Medicine Hat Cubs from winning their third matchup of the season.

The 15-5 Cubs are on a five-game winning streak heading into their game in Airdrie tonight. Coaldale was the last to beat them way back on Nov. 9.

I'd say they're overdue for a loss, and the Gens are the ones to do it.

The puck drops at 8:15 p.m. at the SLS Centre.

The Gens' Nov. 23 home game against the Wheatland Kings was postponed due to poor driving conditions. It has since been rescheduled to Dev. 17.
