Panthers acquire future considerations from Westshore for Nevan Flay

Port Moody Panthers

The Port Moody Panthers announced today that forward Nevan Flay has been traded to the Westshore Wolves of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

Flay, 18, registered one goal and nine assists for 10 points with 103 penalty minutes in 39 games with the Panthers last season after being acquired in an early season trade from Delta.

He skated in 26 games with the Ice Hawks in 2016-17, scoring four goals and five assists for nine points along with 26 penalty minutes. The Sechelt product also played four games with the Vancouver NW Giants of the BC Major Midget League that season.

The move to Vancouver Island comes as Flay is expected to attend Camosun College in Victoria this September. The Panthers organization would like to thank Nevan for his contributions this past season and wish him the best of luck in school at Camosun and in hockey with the Wolves.
