League President & Treasurer to Step Aside

On that same day, John Surovy, the KIJHL secretary/treasurer for the past 21 years is also saying goodbye.

These three people got involved as volunteers at a league executive level when there were ten teams and two divisions.

Bill and Mary began as Statistican & Registrar in 1995. John joined the team in 1997 in his current capacity. Together they have overseen the league as it has doubled in size to the current 20 teams, 4 divisions and two conferences.

Bill became the League President in 2002 after serving as vice-president for the two previous years and for the past sixteen years, he and Mary have worked almost every single day towards the betterment of the KIJHL. 

This league would not be one of the premier Junior B leagues in Canada without their tireless efforts.

The entire KIJHL family of league executive members, team owners or presidents, general managers, coaches, game night volunteers and players express their collective, heartfelt “THANKS” to Bill, Mary and John for everything they have done for the league over the years and wish them the very best in their future.
