The Osoyoos Coyotes are pleased to announce Mark Chase as their new Head Coach & General Manager. Chase comes to the Coyotes from the Melville Millionaires of the SJHL, where he spent the past two seasons as an Assistant Coach. The 32-year old’s background includes serving as Head Coach & GM of the BC Major Midget League’s Thompson Blazers, between 2013 and 2015.
The Kamloops native also played an active role in the BC High-Performance U-16 program, serving as Head Coach at the U-16 BC Cup multiple times. He has also scouted for the Western Hockey League’s Prince George Cougars and BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings.
Chase has coached extensively at numerous levels of minor hockey in Kamloops. In 2009, his Peewee “AAA” team won the BC Provincial Championship, which accompanied Coach of the Year honours with Kamloops Minor Hockey that season.
He brings with him a keen passion for the game and a youthful approach. Chase joins the Coyotes with lots of enthusiasm and is excited for the opportunity to work for such a great organization.
“I look forward to developing a culture that everyone can be proud of for years to come,” says Chase.
