Castlegar is situated at the confluence of the Kootenay and Columbia Rivers in the southeastern corner of the British Columbia. Conveniently located on Highway 3, Castlegar serves as the hub of the West Kootenay region. With a population of approximately 9000, Castlegar is famous for it’s impressive outdoor recreation opportunities.
Castlegar has a strong sense of community pride, and has faithfully supported the Rebels for over 40 years. The Castlegar Rebels have captured the KIJHL Championship four times, most recently in 2013, and our Alumni includes names like Travis Green, Darcy Martini, Steve Junker and Steve Bozek.
The Castlegar Rebels are operated by a Not-for-profit Society with a very dedicated volunteer Board of Directors. We’re looking for an exceptional Head Coach and General Manager for the upcoming 2018-2019 Season. The successful candidate will be compensated according to experience. Expected start date is as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will have a strong hockey background, be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills with a solid focus on player fitness, development and advancement, and be able to work in a high profile environment with an attention to detail, teamwork and strong communication skills.

NCCP Development 1 Certification
Junior coaching experience
