Carter Commits To Minot State Beavers

Minot State University

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 13, 2018

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State Hockey program is proud to announce the commitment of forward Drew Carter from the Princeton Posse of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

Name: Drew Carter
Position: Forward
Hometown: Kelowna, BC, Canada Ht: 6’2
Wt: 185

Stats:
2017-2018 – 13 Goals, 31 Assists for 44 Points in 47 Games Played – Princeton Posse (KIJHL)

Coach’s Comment:

“We are extremely excited to add a very versatile player in Drew. He is a 200-foot player, who played in every situation for the Posse this past season. We are also excited to bring in someone of Drew’s size into our lineup. These are all areas we needed to address this off season and Drew fits the bill. Probably the best attribute Drew possesses is his leadership. Anytime you bring in a former captain into the mix, it will only bode well for you.”

The Beaver Hockey program has been in existence at Minot State University since 1995. The team competes independently at the ACHA division 1 level and plays its home games at the MAYSA Arena in Minot, N.D. The Beavers are coached by Wade Regier and assisted by Wyatt Waselenchuk. In its twenty-third year of existence, the program has been through five head coaches and has one national title to its name.
