The Fernie Ghostriders are pleased to announce that they have hired Jeff Wagner as their new Head Coach and General Manager.
Wagner comes to Fernie after two years with the Creston Valley Thunder Cats. In Jeff's first year with Creston he was as an assistant coach then last season he was an associate coach and assistant general manager.
Jeff started his coaching career in Calgary as an assistant coach with the AA Calgary North Stars then moved up to the head coach of the CBHA Blackhawks in the Calgary Buffaloes Hockey Association. Jeff also doubled as Creston’s Southern Alberta scout during the 2015-16 season.
Jeff Wagner "I’m extremely excited to be given the opportunity as Head Coach and General Manager of the Fernie Ghostriders. I’d like to extend my gratitude to the Creston Valley Thunder Cats for the support they have shown me over the past two years. I’d also like to thank Barb Anderson and the Board of Directors of the Ghostriders for putting their trust in me.
I look forward to joining an organization that has a strong history of championship caliber teams and joining a community that has an outstanding and loyal fan base. During my two years in the league, Fernie has always been one of my favourite destination to be in and I can’t wait to hit the ground running."
