With the devastating fires and floods everyone has been taxed this summer,  revenues are down, expenses up for many, including the Kamloops SPCA

We want to help and hope you will help us.

The SPCA are raising capital funds for a new home which is way overdue. 

We are hosting an event Sunday October 22, 2017 at 5pm as part of our hockey game vs the Sicamous Eagles. 

The event will be a race on ice by 20 dachund dogs.  We will have fans purchase tickets with the chance to win great prizes courtesy of Earls Restaurant and perhaps your company or more.  The fans  purchase tickets if the dog you pick places first, second or third place they will have a chance to win a prize.  All the money from the ticket purchase will go to the SPCA. 

The second event will be a silent auction, again with all of the money going to the SPCA.  We will need items for the silent auction.

We also want to recognize the dogs participating and need the community to help supply prizes for the 20 dogs as well as the 3 finalist prizes.  We are thinking gift cards.  The participant card small amount of say $5 each ($100 total), and the first, second and third place of $100, $50 and $25.  It would be really cool if we could get a couple of sponsors at each level .  Think about it gift cards draw people into your store. 

The Kamloops Storm will also be donating 50% of ticket sales to the event and maybe you could help get the word out through posters in your store or on social media or any other promotion you may be doing between now and October 22, 2017.

We plan for this to be annual event  but also hope to hold another event later in the season to raise more money. 

We are also looking for a corporate sponsor of $1,000.  The corporate sponsor would be the SPCA /your company inaugural dachund race.  They would be prominently featured in all advertising and social media.  50% of the money would go to SPCA and the balance covering media ads for the game.

We are also planning to have a lead up to the event with participating merchants at the rink who will be able to show the merchandise or services they provide.  We have 3 home games before the event on Sept 27, Oct 13 and Oct 20.  We are planning for the SPCA will bring some of their adoptees to the games leading up to October 22 gameto get more people involved.
