Heat Hands Posse First Loss Of Season

  Princeton Posse hosted Chase Heat September 22 at Princeton Arena. The home team had two new players added to the roster since their previous home game. Aubrey Macleod was in Jersey #3 with Anthony Oliverio wearing #28. Macleod, from Abbotsford, BC had played one game earlier this season with Revelstoke Grizzlies. Oliverio, from Calgary, had played a season and a half with Castlegar and just three games last season with Summerland.

  Both players saw plenty of ice time in the home game against Chase although neither earned any points.

  The Heat started scoring at 14:52 of the first. Josh Bourne and Quinn Slezak each earned assists. Princeton replied at 12:49 with an unassisted goal by Philippe Lam to tie the match.

  In the second period Princeton took the lead at 7:46 with a marker by Nicholas Graham. Ethan Schmor received an assist on the play.

  The final frame was dominated by Chase on both the scoreboard and shots on goal. Chase out shot Princeton 18-8 in the third period. Princeton was ahead 27-22 after 40-minutes of play.

  The Heat tied the game back up at 2-all with an unassisted short-handed goal by Josh Bourne at 11:11. They then took the lead just 21-seconds later with another short-handed goal. Kolten Moore got that one with help from Josh Bourne.

  Josh Bourne added another goal, this time on the power play, at 7:53. Kolten Moore and Cam Watson each earned assists.

  Final Score: Chase 4, Princeton 2. Shots on Goal: Chase 40, Princeton 35.
