Daven Smith - Camp Facilitator / Head Instructor
Daven grew up in the North East Saskatchewan area, where he played most of his hockey. He spent two seasons with the Tisdale Trojans, serving as the Captain in his second year before joining the Nipawin Hawks and capturing the Canalta Cup in 2018. After stepping away from playing, he began to pursue the coaching side of hockey.
George Pyne - On-Ice Director
George has worked in virtually every capacity level from minor hockey to the SJHL. He began working as a development instructor at age 26 and has decades of experience in power skating and skill development learning. George has been involved with several Hockey Development programs over the past three plus decades. He was the Co-Founder of Calling Lakes Hockey and Golf summer program, Fire on Ice program and joined Western Prospects Hockey group in 2000 where he worked as a program developer and Head Instructor for 19 years. He has also been involved with four Minor Hockey Associations leading their coach mentor programs.
George began his coaching career in 1994 as a Midget AA Head Coach and has continued on coaching at various Levels and age groups since. He was honourerd with the SHA Coach of the Year award in the 2017/2018 season.
George is currently a part of the Melville Millionaires coaching/development staff and will be partnering with Rail City Hockey to assist with their On/Off ice skill development program.
Jarett Waldbauer - Off-Ice Director
Jarett has been involved with coaching hockey for numerous years. Jarett started coaching in 2006 at the Midget AA level and as coached through every level of minor hockey from atom aa to midget aa. Jarett has also coached Sask First with the Saskatchewan Hockey Association. Jarett is currently the Assistant General Manager and Assistant Coach of the Melville Millionaires of the SJHL, this is his fourth year with the club and in his first year with Rail City Hockey.
Dan Wapple - Goaltender Instructor
Mike Rooney - On-Ice Instructor
Mike has worked in virtually every capacity and every level from minor hockey to the NHL. Mike started working as an instructor at 16 and has decades of experience in power skating and skill development. Mike started his coaching career in 1990 as Midget AAA assistant coach. Mike has been extensively involved in the Hockey Canada coaching programs, including his role as a Sask Hockey Coach Mentor. Mike founded Western Prospects Hockey in 1999 and operated for 18 years prior to selling.
Mike is currently the General Manager / Head Coach of the Melville Millionaires and will work with Rail City High Performance Hockey to establish to become the leading development program on the "Prairies"
