Vancouver Sea to Sky Zone

CONSTITUTION

INTRODUCTION

1. The name of the society is the Vancouver Sea to Sky Zone Athletic Association (VS2S)

2. The purposes of the society are:

(a) to treat every member school and member athletic association with respect;

(b) to develop and apply rules, regulations and standards governing the qualification process for teams/athletes in the zone qualifying events to progress to the BCSS Provincial Championships;

(c) to provide meaningful and quality competitions for the teams/athletes for qualification into the BCSS Provincial Championships;

(d) provide a systematic, transparent, equitable and objective process to every member school and member athletic association to participate in zone competition and for advancement to the BCSS Provincial Championships; It should be recognized that on occasion, not every “strong” team will make the zone championship by virtue of losing an important contest at the local athletic association level.

(e) to provide opportunity for athletic excellence and to celebrate the achievements of the teams/athletes in our zone;

(f) to encourage a high quality of sportsmanship among players, coaches and spectators;

(g)  to operate without purpose of gain or pro?t to its members and any pro?ts or other accretions to the society shall be used in promoting its objects and this provision shall be unalterable.
