Sting punish Heat 9-1
Sting #9 Scott Connelly helped his team with 5 points
defeating the Heat 9-1 on Saturday Night. The Heat were
punished by the Referee's with 73 pims to 0, which meant
the Sting were able to capitalise on the scoreboard.

NSW Tange Team Sweep the Ice for GOLD.
The Tange Team Swept the competition at the 2012 Tange
Trophy for the first time in 6 years defeating WA 6-1 in the
Final to win GOLD.

This week the NSW Tange Team has been competing in the
2012 National Championships in Adelaide. 15 of the 20
players in this team has played in the 2012 ECSL Season.

Heat #94 Brandon Stobbs stole the win with 1:04 remaining
in the game off a backdoor pass from Shane Barrow & Saxon
Air.

Rebels punish Northstars 10-2
Both teams were short, N'Stars has 12 & Rebels with 9
players it made for an interesting game. The Rebels got the
jump early and it continued throughout the game, each Rebel
earned a point including the Goalie.

Saturday Night @ Penrith the Sting & Raptors finished up with
a 3-all tie. The Raptors were denied the win when the sting
scored with 1.13 remaining in the game.

The North Stars have defeated the Sting 4-3. The North Stars
were all over the Sting in the first period, however the Sting
rallied strongly to close the gap, and were a real threat to
take the win in the final minutes.

Raptors #28 Cameron Rose assisted his team with 3 points
on Sunday Night, however it wasn't enough as both Vipers #2
Rhys Outred & #11 Brett Cole-Clark also contributed 3 points
each in their teams win at home.

The Heat & Rebels exchanged leads multiple times through
out the game, however it was Rebels Rookie #14 Casey
Kubara who sealed the game winner on the powerplay with

In Sunday's 2nd game the Sting & Raptors finished up 2 a
piece.
Raptors #19 Jason Gibson & #10 Brian Funes connected twice
in the 1st period to put the Raptors 2-0, however the Sting
came back with 1 goal in the 2nd & 3rd to finish 2-2.

The Vipers started strong, out shooting, hitting & out playing
the Rebels and the score reflected. Down 4-2 with 5.15
remaining in the game, the Rebels seem to flick a switch -
scoring 4 goals in under 2 mins to win 6-4.

The Heat & N'Stars were unfortunatly involved in a disrupted
game, with 2 officials failing to turn up. 1 hour later and both
teams took to the ice, with the Heat defeating the N'Stars 4-

In a close game, After the 1st the Rebels led 1-0, the
Raptors equalised in the 2nd. Early in the 3rd the Raptors
took the lead 2-1 & held on for the win. The Rebels outshot
the Raptors 32-23 only to be denied by Raptors Tender Josh
O'Neill.

On Sunday Night the Vipers hosted the Sting. The Sting got
their AIHL members back but were without regular goalie Tim
Kane. Final Score 4-3 to the home team.

On Saturday Night the Northstars travelled down to Sydney
severly under-manned. 8 Players plus a goalie made the 2
hour journey only to be outshot 44 to 21 and defeated 8-1.

The Northstars have been unlucky playing at home this
season. On Sunday night the Raptors made the F3 journey
and in a testosterone filled game they walked away with the
3 points. A total of 118 penalty mins was called, something
that is of concern to all interested parties.

Welcome to the new online home for the East Coast
Super League. The ECSL is a New South Wales
based open men's full contact league, made up of
six teams. Last year the teams played Games at
Canterbury Olympic Ice rink, Hunter Ice Skating
Stadium, and Penrith Ice Palace

The 2012 Entry draft was completed at the
beginning of March. 22 players have been drafted
directly onto team rosters, with a 6 drafted
into the league as ECSL reserves.
