The CRJHL Championship Trophy, generously donated by TDM Sports in Arborg.
The inaugural season of the CRJHL has been all about parity, and that has continued into the playoffs.
With a tight finish to the regular season standings, including placing coming down the last weekend, nothing had been decided. In the end, Lundar and St. Malo finished in 4th and 5th place, and having to play a survivor series. In consistent fashion, the best of 3 series went all 3 games, with Lundar prevailing 2-1.
In one semi-final, second place Arborg took on 3rd place North Winnipeg in a best of seven. The series went back and forth, with North Winnipeg eventually winning 4 games to 2 to move onto the final.
In the other semi-final, first place Selkirk took on the survivor series winner Lundar. The series went right to the limit, with Selkirk winning 4-3 in a 7 game thrilling series.
The first ever CRJHL championship will feature the Selkirk Fishermen and the North Winnipeg Satelites. The schedule is as follows:
Game 1 - March 29 - 7:30pm - Selkirk Rec Complex
Game 2 - March 31 - 1:30pm - St. James Civic Centre
Game 3 - April 2 - 7:30pm - Selkirk Rec Complex
